ONE SMALL TASK, DONE.
PDF Page Size & Bleed Checker
Check every page size, trim box and bleed in a PDF before printing or uploading to KDP or a print shop.
Runs on your deviceHow to use
- Choose a PDF.
- Read the page sizes, trim boxes and bleed.
- Optionally choose a target such as KDP or 3 mm bleed to find pages that do not match.
Good to know
Reads MediaBox, TrimBox, BleedBox and page rotation for each page, names common sizes such as A4, B5 and 6 × 9 in, and flags mixed page sizes.
The check compares each page with the file size a target expects: the trim size for KDP without bleed, +0.125 × 0.25 in with bleed, or 3 mm on every edge for print shops. Fonts and image resolution are not checked.

Questions
What bleed does a print shop need?
Usually 3 mm on every edge in Japan and Europe, and 0.125 in for KDP. Always check the printer’s guide.
What is a TrimBox?
The finished page size after cutting. Files with bleed are larger than the TrimBox by the bleed amount.
