ONE SMALL TASK, DONE.
Touchpad & Touchscreen Test
Draw a pointer trail, count touch points and check scrolling, pressure and pointer type on a touchpad or touchscreen.
Runs on your devicePress Start to begin. Nothing is recorded or uploaded.
How to use
- Press Start test.
- Draw across the area with one finger, then several, and scroll with two fingers.
- Look for gaps in the lines and check touch points and scrolling.
Good to know
The trail follows pointer events, so a gap or a jump usually means the surface lost contact. Scroll totals count two-finger and wheel scrolling.
Pressure and tilt are reported only by devices that provide them; a plain touchpad usually reports a fixed value.

Questions
What does a broken line mean?
The surface lost contact or skipped events there. Repeat in the same spot to find a dead zone.
Why is pressure always the same?
Most touchpads and many screens do not report pressure; styluses usually do.
