Rt2112 Development Log | April 15 - April 17, 2026

During this period, I am implementing measures to overwrite the channel's perception from 'sleep content' to 'a channel that transforms tech news into stories of the future.' The three days were centered on strategic brainstorming, including Shorts production design, building a mass-production framework for Lo-fi 2112, and reorganizing the revenue structure.

The 'Perception Gap' Revealed by AI Analysis

When I fed the Rt2112 URL into an external AI analysis tool, it was classified as 'sleep content.' That said, since it originally started with sleep-related videos, it is unavoidable. However, after uploading videos as sleep-themed content for about a month, a fantasy-oriented audience gathered, so it felt like something was off.

The tags have already been switched from the sleep genre to the tech-savvy intellectual audience. The content of the stories is also written based on real tech news. If the AI still recognizes it as 'Sleep,' there is a high possibility that the YouTube algorithm sees it the same way.

The cause is clear: the 'Bedtime' in the titles, the night-room thumbnails, and the 'winding down' in the descriptions were all continuing to send signals of a sleep context.

Conversely, if that is how the AI judgment sees it, then that is what it is, and it also means that similar content barely exists. (No wonder the browsing rate is high even while demonetized.) I don't know if it's a blue ocean or a desert with no latent demand, but personally, I find that interesting, so I decided to keep going.

However, it looks like it will take time until monetization.

'Real News → Future Story'

The copy to overwrite the perception has been decided.

Real News → Future Story.

It's simple and conveys what the channel is about at a glance. There is no Sleep context involved at all. It perfectly captures the core value of rt2112: "transforming real-world news into future stories."

I placed this on the first line of the description box. Since YouTube only displays the first two lines of the description, the first line is the most important. AI crawlers and algorithms also prioritize the beginning.

The entire description box looks like this:

Real news → Future story. 1 hour of cozy audio stories from a gentle future.
The first half is a calm reading, and the second half is ambient music.
Each story begins with real-world news — and imagines where it might lead, somewhere between today and 2112.
Also great as background for study and language learning.
No jumpscares, no dystopia — just calm narration from a gentle future.

The terms "real news" and "real-world news" appear twice between the first-line hook and the third-line explanation. It might look a bit repetitive to humans, but it functions as a double-push for the algorithm. It also broadens SEO coverage with different keyword sets.

Changed pinned comment to Kindle funnel

I replaced the pinned comments on all videos.

The decision is to treat YouTube as a "free traffic funnel to Kindle."
Recently, demonetization has been severe, and since I use loop animations, it might be flagged as reused content. Therefore, I am building a structure that doesn't rely on AdSense while I still can.
Even if YouTube monetization is revoked, the business will continue to run as long as the funnel to Kindle remains active.

It seems best to continue treating YouTube as a funnel for awareness moving forward. Of course, if I can get monetized, that would be helpful as it has the highest income potential.

Changed publication time from 6:00 JST to 10:00 JST

I was previously publishing at 6:00 JST (17:00 US East Coast), but I changed it to 10:00 JST, which is 21:00 US East Coast. I'm hitting the peak bedtime hours. Since the algorithm distributes the most impressions immediately after publication, I'm aligning that wave with the US night.

It's 18:00 on the West Coast, but by 21:00, three hours later, long-form content starts appearing in related videos, so I can capture both.

👉 When I decided on 6:00 JST, the AI view was that long-form content takes about 3 hours to crawl, so I should post early. However, once I actually started running it, that wasn't the case.
By the 20th video, where the target audience had mostly been determined, impressions spiked starting from the first hour. It was mostly browsing.
In that case, it's better to align with the East Coast, and I can also cover South America using the main languages of auto-dubbing (Spanish, Portuguese), so the strategy is to start from there and increase CTR and AVD.

Introduction of Shorts

Previously, I rejected this because I thought that if short-form viewers entered a Sleep-themed channel, it would contaminate the AVD.

But now, I have shifted the tags from Sleep-themed to tech-savvy audiences. It has become highly likely that the Shorts viewer base and the long-form viewer base will overlap. Moreover, since Shorts are distributed by a different algorithm than long-form, it won't directly affect the AVD of the long-form content.

Rt2112 Shorts structure:

  • Two patterns: poster art version and manga version

  • Use 15 seconds of audio from the source introduction section

  • Text overlay: "Real News → Future Story"

  • One video can produce four episodes of Shorts. Since there are up to Vol. 35, there are materials for 140 videos lying dormant (regardless of whether I actually do them or not)

👉 I am creating posters and single-page manga for each episode for Kindle and Pinterest, so I will utilize those. For example, when using manga shorts, I thought that a sleep-oriented audience would immediately drop off from long-form content, but if a tech-oriented audience enters, they are already interested in the story, so it's a good match. Not for sleeping, but for a cooldown bedtime💡

Lo-fi 2112 Shorts structure:

  • Close-up shots of each character

  • Text is only "Lo-fi 2112"

  • The sexy older sister showing a bit of thigh performed well, as expected

👉 For the Lofi side, I'll commit to the exposure and only show the movements of people and animal robots.

I will also cross-deploy the same material to TikTok. Zero production cost.

Aside: Discovered a benchmark for Lo-fi 2112

I found a channel called "Cozy Garden Stories," established in December 2025, with 7,490 subscribers in 4 months, 123 videos, and 490,000 total views. They are maintaining a pace of one video per day.

Victorian-style animal fairy tale characters, watercolor-style jackets, videos around one hour long. Monetized in 3 months in a niche genre.

They are likely cycling through 4-5 clips made with Veo or Kling. It looks good, but it's actually quite sloppy as a collage. (I am using more sophisticated techniques like loops, fades to black, and dust particles)

It started growing around 60 videos, so mass production is indeed effective. Lo-fi 2112 can compete with the same structure, and on top of that, it has the IP-ization of the DJ character, the worldview of the Distant series, and the story of the Op.α~Ω music. In terms of conceptual depth, I am actually taking it more seriously. The problem is whether I can maintain the pace. If there is no traction even after reaching 60 videos, then the worldview is a mistake.

Lo-fi 2112 "Free Slot" Production Framework

Suno is running with 20 songs per story. (Even though I set it to instrumental, it suddenly starts singing, so I get annoyed and delete those, leaving about 16 songs actually used in the video) Kindle Vol. 1 has 28 episodes = 7 videos (4 episodes each). If the pace is 2 volumes per month, that's 14 videos. Suno credits consumed per month: 1,400. Since I have 2,500 credits, I have 1,100 left over (smirk😏)

Now, with the leftover credits, I have a plan to create a mass-production line separate from the main story music production line, aiming for one Lo-fi video per day.

Fixed elements: Op.α~Ω 20-track composition, album naming convention (Distant ~), Lo-fi 2112 logo in thumbnails

Variable elements are a combination of 3 axes:

  • DJ characters (Ko-Ne, Lo-Hoo, KUMA, RABI, AkaGe, + new characters)

  • Location (City, Village, Ocean, Temple, Onsen...)

  • Time/Season (Night, Dawn, Rainy, Winter...)

5 characters × 10 locations × 10 times = 500 patterns. Even if I make 100 videos a year, I won't run out of ideas.

As a viral-aiming experimental slot, I'll also test sexy older sister types, cute animal types, and Japanese-style Lofi here. I won't pollute the main DJ character IP.

Numerical snapshot (as of 4/17)

Main channel (28 days)

  • Views 991 (+75% vs previous 28 days)

  • Impressions 32.6K (+189%)

  • CTR 2.1%

  • AVD 2:56

  • Recent video: AVD 38:40 (3 views, but 2 people fell asleep watching the full video). Content quality is proven

  • Latest video: 24 views, CTR 2.8%, Browse features 83.3%. The algorithm has started recommending it

Lo-fi 2112 (28 days)

  • Views 484 (increasing vs previous 28 days)

  • Watch time 119.8h

  • Subscribers +5

  • AVD 15:31

  • 71 views in 48 hours. Trending upward.

Future Policy

  • Rt2112 story production is on break this week. Starting production on Vol. 36 next week.

  • Introduce Lo-fi, clear out unreleased Kindle content.

  • Start Shorts production (Rt2112: poster art + manga version, Lo-fi: character close-ups).

👉 Currently, I have scheduled up to May 10th, but it is said that if story production is too fast, the news sources become outdated.
Considering 14 days for auto-dubbing plus a 3-day buffer, it is preferable to start production 3 weeks in advance, so I spent this week thinking about other things and slacking off a bit due to a mid-project slump. (Those days happen too.)
